Kindergarten Program
Our Kindergarten Program is held daily from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. from September through May, with half-day or full-day care available. Each child is taught at his or her own developmental level. As in the public schools, our Kindergarten curriculum includes:
- Reading – a mixture of whole language and phonics
- Math – number sense, graphing and spatial sense
- Science – introduction of scientific methods, seeds, weeds, light, color, shadows, Water and ice
- Social Studies – study of the world of ourselves, others and the environment
- Music
- Art
- Computers
- Field Trips
- Dramatic Play
- Holiday Programs
Before/After School Care
First through Fifth Graders attend the School Age Program here at Children’s Creative Corner. Busing is provided to and from Steeple Run Elementary School by the school district, however children from area schools are welcome to attend if their parents arrange transportation. The school age children are given time to relax, have a snack, play outside, finish their homework, and participate in a variety of planned curriculum activities including arts, crafts, dramatic play, music and computers
Corner Club Summer Program
The Corner Club Summer Program runs for 8-10 weeks from June through August, and is open to children 4-10 years of age. Our 4-5 year old children make up one classroom, and 6-10 year olds make up the second classroom. The children will explore a summer curriculum based on weekly theme units including arts and crafts, music, dramatic play and computers. A variety of field trips are taken by bus on Tuesdays and Thursdays. An additional summer field trip fee is applied.
